Everyone at some point in their lives arrives at the question, what am I here for? Or what is the purpose of my life?  Whether we realize it or not, as human beings we are always searching for truth, for the answers, searching for purpose and ultimately searching for Jesus. Since we are created in God’s image, we have a spirit that is never satisfied until we discover a personal relationship with our Creator.  Many times, we are raised with religious traditions, but this does not satisfy our God-given desires.  Only knowing Jesus, personally, as your Lord and Savior, can quench that empty void that we have all experienced at one time or another.

What's All This Jesus Stuff About?

If you just clicked on this web page out of curiosity, don’t leave without giving your eternal existence some thought.  Do you know where you will go when you die?  Yes, that is a pretty deep question.  But then again, it is a pretty serious issue…an issue of whether you will spend eternity in Heaven or eternity in Hell.  God loves us with a love that we, as human beings, do not fully comprehend.  He loves us even though we have sinned and rejected Him, and He sent His one and only Son to die so that we could live.  Jesus died and rose so that everyone could have eternal life.  Repentance and asking Jesus into your heart is the only way to Heaven.  Don't miss out on the opportunity that God is presenting you right now...for we are never guaranteed tomorrow.

If you have never asked Jesus into your heart, or if you are questioning your salvation whatsoever, then you need to go before God and pray out loud…

Dear Lord Jesus,

Come into my heart.  I realize I am a sinner and I need you.  Please forgive me of my sins.  Wash me, cleanse me, and give me a heart that desires the things that please you.  I ask that You come and live inside of me.  From this day forward, I choose to walk according to Your Word and Your ways.  I thank You, God that I am now forgiven, and am on my way to Heaven. 

In Jesus name,

                   Amen.

Romans 10:9-10 says, “That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.” and that is exactly what you just did when you said that prayer!

"So, I said the prayer, now what?"

If you meant what you said, then you are on your way to heaven.  Welcome to the family of God.  Sure, it sounds easy, and it is. But it wasn't easy for Jesus . He did all the hard part. But, the only thing He couldn't do was pray your prayer for you.  Jesus died so you could have salvation as a free gift.  Now, take it and run toward God, and away from sin!

Find yourself a good, Bible-based church to go to. Starting reading your Bible every day, beginning in the gospel of John, and be sure to talk to your Heavenly Father on a regular basis.  He cares about every part of your life, even the things you may think of as insignificant.
